About 40 organizations gathered in Bacolod last May 14-16 to discuss the various initiatives on business development services for microenterprises. Representatives from the microfinance institutions, NGOs, academe, donor agencies, and the business sector shared their experiences on helping microentrepreneurs and identified strategic areas of collaboration. The 3-day workshop provided valuable information on how to effectively deliver BDS through a network of providers specializing in packaging, marketing, and value-chain analysis among others. The workshop was organized by the BDS working group and sponsored by the Peace and Equity Foundation.
