ASKI is an organization committed to the holistic development of micro-entrepreneurs. It has been in the microfinance industry for 22 years now, serving more than 58,000 clients covering nine (9) provinces in regions I, II and III. It needs funding to support its operations in the municipality of Baler, Aurora. Baler is a 2nd class municipality located 230 kilometers Northeast of Manila. One of the members who reside in the area is a 55 year old mother of five. She initially managed a sari-sari store, but through a loan with ASKI, was able to buy raw materials to start a handicrafts business. Among her products are bags, accessories and furniture displays made of sabutan, a crop found only in Aurora. Creating her own designs, the uniqueness of her products brought her to participate in various trade fairs, locally and abroad. As her business grows, this ASKI client hopes to have her own store where she can display her products. The capital you contribute will be used as a microenterprise loan for other clients like her in Baler.
